The Festival della Letteratura returns to Rome with a new feature: the entire city will be involved in this event, in fact many places of culture will be interested in this cultural review. The summer evenings will be held at the fascinating Stadio Palladino, the dates are listed on the dedicated page, reachable with the link at the bottom of the article.

The other locations that will host the cultural review are; the Auditorium Parco della Musica, the Casa del Jazz, the Teatro Elsa Morante and the Parco di Monte Ciocci from where you can admire the panorama of the eternal city.

The topic on which the review will focus is “RETURNS”, a theme that is often connected with the works of artists who try their hand at this art. This element of our existence is often crossed by social, political, economic passions and that we ask ourselves with increasing frequency: where are we going, and what does the future hold for us looking at the past, which in these turbulent periods of our society now reserves us frequently and that, unfortunately, we are getting used to the unspeakable and indescribable human atrocities of the human being.

The review is curated by Simona Cives together with the scientific committee together nno parte Paolo Di Paolo, Davide Orecchio, Igiaba Scego, Nadia Terranova and Melania Mazzucco. Not only poets will intervene but also men and women of society, who will address the topic of the RETURN underlining the significant elements that have characterized their lives. The Pope, the Israeli writer David Grossman and numerous other artists and actors of contemporary life will delve into the social and human aspect of our days.

Not to be missed is the closing of the festival that will host a darling of Italian literary culture: Erri De Luca who will be a guest on July 1st at the Elsa Morante theater.
